Science Fiction and Fantasy is a terrific genre for exploring concepts and ideas that may change our lives.  If you look back at say Star Wars made in the 70's and look at what they were using as weapons, IT etc, now as we move into a new decade some of them idea's have now become realities.Romance is a terrific genre for exploring our inner, emotional selves and our quest for love and the one and finding the ever illusive happy ending. SF is great at “what if” and romance is great at creating memorable characters, places and scenarios we all fall in love with. Of course, these are generalizations with individual exceptions, but my point is that a meld of these genres is an ideal ground to write epic stories, SF is perhaps one of my favourite genres there is so much material to chose from, the imagination if allowed can run wild, the impossible becomes possible, Alien romances are a very much guilty pleasure, and the alien has to be alien not a human in a costume, fantasy needs to be believable in an unbelievable way, when an author hits the right cord, there are no limits. Its what you chose to accept as you are the reader, allowing you to step into worlds  that seem so gfar fetched but you secretly wish they did. So as a reader to be able to step through the pages in a fabtastic tale of SF and romance to me is a gift. I love it and the more outlandish the better. There are some pretty fantastic writers out there in this genre as well as some dire ones. Below is a few recommendations and some that I have read and HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I will update regularly so keep a look out.
