Warning:
The Wild is an extremely taboo story.
Most will find that the themes in this book will make you incredibly uncomfortable or maybe even offend you. This book is only for the brave, the open-minded, and the ones who crave love in even the most dismal of situations. Extreme sexual themes and violence in certain scenes, which could trigger emotional distress, are found in this story. If you are sensitive to heavy taboo themes, then this story is not for you. Seriously, you’ve been warned. Don’t say I didn’t try. You’re probably going to cringe many, many, many times. Even if you’re on the fence, it’s probably not a good idea to proceed. However, if you’re intrigued and fearless and kind of sort of trust me, then carry on. This book is for you.
STEP OUTSIDE OF YOUR BOX
MY REVIEW ON THIS INCREDIBLE BOOK I know this book has been out a while but as I haven’t done a review on it , I re read it this evening to remind myself what a fantastic read this really is. K. Webster you do not look how you write !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So how do I write a spoiler free review of a book that in order for other people to understand, you would have to give away a crucial point in the plot? Well I don’t do spoilers, so here it goes. This is not my first nor will it be my last book by the incredibly talented K Webster and I didn’t know what she had in store for me when I bought the book. I was intrigued to say the least by the blurb, as well as the chat about it on Facebook, also the fact that to buy it on Amazon would cost you the best part of 60 English pounds, so I went directly to the source The authors website, I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. WOW WOW WOW WOW AND WOW. For all that it is supposed to be banned it is obviously someone that has only read the first few chapters and not the entire book. All I will say is that once I started reading this book, I could not put it down , I read it front to back in 2 hours, did I feel uncomfortable at times yes, but I also enjoyed it so I have no idea what that says about me, I feel like I have no morals for actually enjoying it and started questioning if I had an ever darker side than I originally thought. And I probably do! So the plot is a major taboo, probably a no no in most people’s mind, mine included. But this is FICTION , people. FICTION!!!! This is someone’s imagination. Just because it’s on paper, it doesn’t mean the author believes in such acts. Some people like reading about forbidden things, myself included. some people love horror films and books doesn’t make them murderers or serial killers its just a genre of books. A lot of books have murder, abuse, etc in them. and people don’t bat and eyelash. But obviously this kind of taboo is worse than reading about ending someone’s life apparently !! She says with a hint of sarcasm I still believe this book is not for the faint hearted, it does have some triggers hence the warning in the blurb and the warning at the beginning of the book. But people still decided to read it and then bash it and bash the author. I mean, seriously, what did they expect??? Hearts an flowers??? What I will say that taboo aside, this is a beautifully written story. Especially at the beginning the feels it gave me the anguish was coming through loud and clear. This author is amazing at sucking me into a story line so powerful, she twists my insides up rips out my heart and then puts it all back in again I heave a sigh of relieve, close the Kindle and think ‘WTF’ DID I JUST READ !! Yep these are the kind of books that others will frown upon, but will sneakily go and get read and enjoy while frown at you for reading such material. Me I couldn’t put it down. The writing is fluid, the descriptions are amazing and the characters are so well built. If you are able to think outside the box, understand that this is fiction and this is the author’s imagination, go for it. You will be blown away! It is an amazing piece of work, yes I understand the reasoning for banning it, do I think it should have been, then no I don’t Freedom of expression is been denied just because you can doesn’t mean you should. I am glad I finally got to read it. Do I see a book 2 coming up I want to know what happens to poor little Eve
