Chelsea Camaron is one hell of a writer, she managed to bring me from hatred to understanding and turning bad to good
This was an unbelievable passion driven, revenge filled crime of the heart. The tale follows the lifes path of three kids Javier Amanza, Maricio and Mari Belle Dominguez from children into young adults,as we bare witness to the rise and fall, betrayals, love and lies while dwelling on survival inside a Mexican cartel. This has drama passion, romance, violence, betrayal and lots of angst. I devoured it. I loved that it was set in both the past and the present with duel point of views, I have found I can no longer read single point of view anymore it makes the book flat, its like watching a film and only getting one dialogue. I cannot wait to read the next book in this duet to see how this ends. Javier aka Javi has stole my heart and it now sits on a shelf gathering dust, until I read book 2. Mari's strength comes from her family throughout this entire tale. She does what she does for the love of her family. Her sacrifices are great, but her love is strong, deep and never ending although at times misguided. Behind every broken person, there lies a reason, a purpose, an explanation to whom they are and what has brought them to this place and time in their lives. The only question is, will you allow yourself to see them, to truly understand their life, their back story, their path that has lead them to the here and now? Or will you judge, make assumptions, or even condemn them?
I have to be honest and say I forgot about this book so SHAME ON ME. This book is the reason I am going through my 'TBR' pile I have hundreds of books I keep buying without reading the ones I already have, what an absolute tragedy that would have been to have missed this, I need to take more care with my one click finger. Absolutely brilliant read. The good news is I don't have to wait for book 2 its already out. ABOUT THE AUTHOR
