I give you Animal by Marni Mann, I am late to the party for this little beauty. and I haven’t read the Prisoned series either so I have a bit to catch up on but first let’s deal with this one.
‘WTF’ have I just read, A very dark, twisted story that went further than I could ever imagine. Compulsive reading, I couldn’t put it down. The story is told in alternate chapters by Beard, the main male character, and Tyler, who story is told the book is told in flash backs and present at first it was confusing but the more I got into the book the more I understood it, the plot twist at the end had me open-mouthed. I truly can’t wait to read Monster, the second part of this duet.
I haven’t seen books by this author before so I was going in without any prior knowledge of her writing style, but I am so glad I did, WHAT a find, I picked up this for a dark read after over dosing on Romance, boy did I pick a good one, but how does one give a review with out giving the plot away. or spoilers. You don’t want any spoilers at all. Well you can’t if I am truly honest, it needs to be read with good faith, if you like them dark then you will like this. The book is amazing, I didn’t know if I was on my head my hands or my ass. It drew me in from the first, I paled a bit when the words tortured, where mentioned. yes there is a lot of it, but damn it was also hot as hell, those sex scenes my god I got hot under the collar.
Marni Mann I might never have read a book by you before but that will be rectified immediately, I don’t know what the Prisoned off series is, but will find out, I’ve already bought Monster. That ending again just blew me out of the water, I was not expecting that at all !!!!!! Tyler I loved, Mina I felt was more to her than met the eye. It’s why I’ve given it four stars instead of 5, I needed to know more about Mina, but assuming that book 2 will answer the questions. I hope. I might come back and rectify this rating to 5 I highly recommend this book, but if you do pick it up, don’t be expecting flowers and unicorns cos’ u won’t get that AT ALL
